Now run by sisters Hannah, Kitty and Cleo, Snugburys is one of the UK’s most renowned landmarks to enjoy a delicious ice cream. The original barn in Nantwich is still home of the famous Snugburys ice cream shop but more recently the company launched ‘Snugburys By the River’ in Chester. Over 500,000 ‘ice creamers’ a year now visit the Snugburys sites for a scoop or two of their award winning ice cream which is also sold across a number of farm shops, theatres and National Trust locations.

Product innovation remains key to their success and the team are constantly looking to develop new flavours. Having identified new machinery to assist with smaller batch production management, they worked with our Funding Solutions Team to assist in obtaining a competitive funding solution allowing the company to investment and enhance their development of new products.

Our Funding Solutions team headed by David Wright, met with management, understood their plans and then went out to market to source a competitively priced asset finance package. Once approved David ran the process through to a timely completion, allowing management to focus on what they do best creating and manufacturing delicious ice creams.

David commented, “I’m delighted to have assisted Hannah, Kitty and Cleo with their plans for product development. Asset finance is a competitive and crowded market place, with funder appetite and pricing fluctuating subject to a number of factors, one being the nature of the asset you are looking to finance. By providing this service we make life easier for our clients, helping them to navigate the funding market and running the funding process through to completion. This ensures our clients receive a great deal and removes any distractions, allowing management to focus on running their business.”
