We’ve got some great news to share – Matt Lawton has been promoted and will now take on the role of Client Services Director!

Matt has always been passionate about supporting our clients, and his hard work, dedication, and care not only for his clients, but for also developing members of our team, has earnt him the well-deserved promotion.

It’s fair to say that Matt has had quite the journey with us. Matt joined DJH in 2015 as a Trainee and has seen the coming together of DJH and Mitten Clarke, as well as numerous acquisitions and partnerships over the course of the last two years.

This month will also mark Matt becoming a Fellow Chartered Accountant, as it’s been five years since he became ACCA qualified. Speaking about his promotion, Matt commented “It’s a great pleasure to be appointed as a Client Services Director and to become part of the leadership team for our Stoke office. I’m looking forward to continuing to grow with DJH Mitten Clarke and provide a great service for our clients.”

Paul Hulme, Executive Director for Stoke-on-Trent office, and Matt’s mentor, said “It gives me immense pleasure to see Matt grow and develop, after joining us as a Trainee, he has now progressed to a Client Services Director. It’s very well deserved, and I am extremely proud of Matt’s achievement; he is a great asset to our business.”
Paul continued, “Matt is fantastic with clients, providing forward thinking advice in simple terms. He’s built a strong reputation as business advisor rather than just an accountant, which is what we’re all about.”

Matt joins fellow Client Services Directors Lisa Jones, Rebecca Thorley and Tom Bostock leading our Stoke team. Matt will continue to work with his existing clients, in addition to taking on a new portfolio of clients, directing all aspects of their accounts and business strategy.

Known in the Group for going the extra mile, we have no doubt that Matt will continue to thrive in his new role.
